Engine Swap / Sentra to 200SX HELP!

I'm trying to get a new engine for my Nissan Sentra GXE. I have a 1996 Nissan 200SX ready to go, but I'm unsure if it will fit. I have two different nissan dealerships telling me two different things. One says it should fit with only maybe minor problems with the wiring, but not with the transmission or bolting down. Another dealership says that I won't be able to bolt it down and the tranny probably won't fit. Can anyone tell me definitively whether this will work, and if so, what problems I may encounter?

Yes, the SR20DE engine blocks are exactly the same, however the cylinder heads are extremely different. The distributor / crank angle sensor are in different places, the inlet manifold faces the wrong way, the coolant / water lines are wrong and it will generally be very hard to fit. Try getting a Nissan Bluebird U13 SR20DET which comes with a top mount intercooler.

wut kinda engine are u tryin to swap??? if u talkin bout sr20de or sr20det u have to get an ass load of parts to convert ur gxe over since it comes with the ga16de...and yea the will both fit

I was also going to do the same engine swap but want to know if i did get the sr20det out of the blue bird would it be like a bolt strait in or would i have to do custom mounts and custom hook ups to other stuff?

u will have to get all se-r parts to change over ur ga16 to a sr20
