third gen manual shift plate

i need a manual shift plate for my third gen camaro. i have found several places that have 82-89 plates for sale, but the 90-92 plates are discontinued... i have a '92 and i want to know if the 82-89 will fit my car. judging from the pictures, they don't look at all different. any help is much appreciated guys.
