Hey, we all gotta start somewhere...Your lucky, with most Asian imports, upgrades are fairly cheap and easy to come by.

go with go fast mods first, then once your fast as you wanna be go for the looks. Get exhaust, headers, and a good intake to start or you can take the turbo route and skip the headers (but thats only if you have over $2000 to spend on the mods).

Intake exhaust headers and chip, and that good unless you wanna really get into it, and then F/I your car. Keep it simple, more shit you put on, more shit you need to worry about breaking.

I agree with drftk1d in saying you need to learn to drive your car first (and that's not saying you can't drive, just saying you need to learn the characteristics of your car first).
As for upgrades, if you're serious about racing, then you need to worry about your engine performance, tires, trans, and gears. I'm sure a body kit may have some kind of purpose (I'm not into imports, and I know very little about them, so I may be way off base) but i don't think a body kit is gonna help you in the least bit in performance. I guess you could argue more downforce, but I'm not sure that woudl be applicable unless you were doing speeds in excess (way excess) of 100 mph. You could consider weight reduction however, as that will do you as much good as increasing your horsepower (I think the saying goes something like "every 100 pounds you loose equals 1 tenth in the 1/4").
As for some engine mods, well the most comman are exhaust upgrades, headers, chip/programmers, ignition, etc. Those are the (relatively) cheap bolt-on mods that will get ya a noticeable gain in throttle response/feel. I do know alot of tuners go extreme and do entire engine swaps, but I would'nt know where to start in giving advice for that (now if you had a muscle car I could offer some advice here).
Anyways, I hope that helps ya.

headers are gonna allow your engine to breathe easier (anytime you improve this, you get more HP and better fuel economy). The combo of headers and a cat back exhaust will give you a noticeable hp increase (for LS1 Camaros, they give in excess of 25 hp at the back tires, that's pretty significant).
Same with the intake (air intake). It will allow your engine to flow more air, which will give you more hp and better fuel economy (companies claim anywhere from 15-30, but you could expect about 5-8 at the back tires in the real world).
A chip/programmer just changes the timing of your vehicle (advances it), the air/fuel mixture, and shift points of your tranny. Advancing the time in an engine will give you more bottem end power, making it "feel" stronger.

Basically when you think about modding your car you want to get as much cold air into your engine as fast and as efficiently as possible. And then get that hot used up air and gases out of your engine as fast and as efficiently as possible.
So for your first mod try a cold air intake. Pretty cheap mod, wont add much hp but down the road it will help more. Then a full exhaust system with like 2.5in piping. From there on it’s a little more open as to what to do. I would then get light weight sport rims with some nice sticky tires. You wont go fast if you cant put the power to the ground.

wel i say learn more first.. i would give some advice but you dont know enuff yet to understand it.. dont wana sound like a dick aslo.. im pretty sure u have the same motor i have non-turbo, the f2 motor, its a strong motor, 140hp and 145ft/lb in non turbo form, when you get more into cars and you know your motor, if you do have a f2 motor you can just slap on a f2t's turbo mainfold and turbo and all the piping and have a turbo 626, these more then that but learn more first and come back and well be more then happy to help.
good luck and rembere "google is your friend"

They've already told you that a new intake, headers and exhaust would be. Stock intakes are restrictive to reduce noise; so you would be better off getting a new one.
