I am in the final stage of buying an H22 JDM engine and have noticed that w/LSD it is usually more expensive. I have done some internet searches and I have yet to find out what LSD is. Anyone care to give this a shot and try to explain it to me ?

Limited Slip Differential
Like the name states, it limits the wheel slip of the tires. In a standard open honda differential if you go to take off hard the power is biased towards the wheel with the least resistance, which means the least traction. This results in more wheel spin. An LSD simply causes the opposite to happen, torque is shifted towards the wheel with the most grip for the hardest acceleration with the least amount of wheel spin.

Ahhh, yes. A differential for the most part. I feel pretty stupid for not figuring that out. As always, I appreciate the response. The LSD tranny is exactly what I want and now I can buy my engine today. I will also try to find the parts to replace the tensioner on the timing belt. It is my understanding that the stock one is not very reliable. I am also researching which turbo to buy for my new engine. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it !
