2.4 headers

Hey guys. My buddy has a 99 Galant and he is tryin to get new headers for it. He wants OBX headers but there is an O2 sensor in the header, but his O2 sensor is just infront of the cat. why do they make the spot for the o2 sensor there and can we plug the hole somehow so he can actually buy these headers? Thanks in advance.

there is an o2 sensor adaptor needed, I found a Kamikaze header that has a kit you can buy extra to put the o2 sensor where it needs to be to act like a stock header, go to this link:
