Have a 2003 TDI Jeta, recently installed the fuel filter backward and run the engine out of fuel, Now i would like to know how to remove the air bubbles from the fuel system? ive reinstalled the fuel filter the right way now but im unable to get the air bubbles to leave the fuel lines.

Is the fuel filtre now full? The best thing you can do is to loosen the injector lines at the injectors then crank until they give a good spurt of fuel. You may need to do this one at a time.

the filter is full except for a small bit of air, that keeps moveing back and forth between the engine and the fuel filter. the engine runs ok only after it warms up but if you travel a short distance and shut it off it will not start back up untill the air returns back to the filter. the reasion is know about the air is because the fuel lines are clear so i can see through them., Im going to try to loosenthe injector one at a time like you said i guess i just wasnt shure if there wasnt some special procedure to do this, ive done the same thing to my tractor when this happen to it.
