maxima upgrades

hey all, i was wondering if i could help me with some advice. i am the owner of a 2002 maxima Se. it is one smooth ride. the problem however is with my old 98 maxima SE. i Sold it to my brother and i am trying to upgrade the radio for him by installing a factory cd changer. i need to pull the radio out to install the cable but i cant seem to get the face plate off, i removed the shift console, ashtray and so on. i have the service manual and it seems that there are some clips that hold on the cover plate for the radio. well it seems that if i try to pry it off the face plate would break. i dont want to brake the face plate. any help or advice would be appreciated.

okay heres the deal, you need a flat head screw driver, you pop out the air vents lower piece, slip the screw driver between the gap and pull that out, once the vent piece is out, there will be two screws size ten. take those out and the stereo will go out.

look at my sig, you see where the metal dash kit stops, stick the flat between that and push up a little, once thats out youll see the screws.you have to pull like its a vcr tape stuck.
