Need 03 Civic Radio Code

Hey guys, i just bought my mom an 03 civic lx coupe from a salvage yard, and the battery was dead, so i replace the battery and now i need the factory cd player code, i took the car to one of the honda dealerships in town, and those bastards say i have to take the radio out and take it to them so they can get me the code, or take it to the original dealer where the car was purchased from. So is there anyone on this forum that can get me the factory cd players code? Thanks
