if i was going to go out and buy gsx, i want to mod the car by dsmtuners list, what would be the highest mileage to look at and have my car run smoothly and not break parts due to the mileage.

Mileage has very little to do with how reliable the car is going to be. I bought mine with 50k miles and it was a nightmare with little things like wheel bearings, and other BS parts. While friends buy cars with over 100k miles and they are fine. I've seen more than a few 150k plus cars at the track tearing it up. The fewer the better typically, but there is no magic number :)

Condition over mileage IMO. Have the car inspected by PepBoys or a trusted mechanic before you buy it...they might catch something to save you a few hundred dollars on the buying price, or convince you not to buy it at all!

definitly... you can destroy a car in just 5000 miles from the factory if you dont take care of it, but they can last you forever if you just keep up the maintenence. Condition over mileage any time.
