Well got into a discussion with some SRT-4 owners about the label- the SRT-4 is the second fastest stock production dodge ever, second only to the Viper. I disagree with this statement, what do you guys think? Which of these cars is the fastest and what order do these cars place-
1996 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo
or
2005 Dodge Magnum R/T
or
2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4
or
2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10
or

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona w/426 Hemi. With proper tires and gearing, it was a 200+mph car on the Talladega highbanks.

yea, i would actually take a 69 charger over 99% of the dodges that are out at this time, except for the viper, old school muscle cars were monsters and were quite quick even when compared to our modern day cars

I didn't that's why I put any others. Still I have to admit the little SRT-4 is hard to beat stock for stock. Old school muscle cars while very powerful would be hard pressed to beat the newer cars in the 1/4 mile and especially around a track stock for stock. The new school cars have 30 years or more worth of technology on the old school muscle cars.

True, but if you take an old..oo lets say, buick GNX, that was pure muscle, despite it being made in 87, alot of cars now adays with 17 years of more advanced tech under its belt, still probably wont run low 13's stock.

The 7.2 liter V8 Charger did it in the high 13s, just like an SRT-4

the Stealth Twin Turbo will beat an SRT-4. they are known to run about mid to low 13s.

Now how about the Ram SRT-10? Will that beat a Neon in the 1/4 mile or no?

I'm pretty sure. I believe they are suposed to run high 12s or low 13s. even a stage 2 srt4 will have problems with that.

Yeah the Ram SRT-10 was the truck I mentioned being faster (besides Stealth) and the SRT-4 guys were like they have beat those trucks because they are like 5,000Lbs and overrated. Well haven't seen any yet at the track, so I will wait to see real world numbers, but magazines have tested them at mid to low 13s, faster than a SRT-4.

Well at 5000 Lbs it sure is no lightweight but they are forgetting that its being pulled by the Daddy of all modern american engines. plus some SRT4 guys do exagerate its performance sadly giving other SRT4 supporters like me a bad name trough association.
