Hey I took out the spring/shock was getting ready to launch it. But the part where I stuck the hex key to turn the nut stripped and kinda tore off. Any idea how im going to take this spring off this shock? I have aftermarket shocks and springs, but I need the upper mount and nut and all the other little things i need to stick my new stuff on. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

that happened to me too. take the whole spring set up to a local mechanic shop and have them use an impact gun to take it off. because the impact gun spins so fast, it will be able to unscrew the bolt without having to hold the shock shaft with the allen wrench. ur gonna have to spin the nut really quick with the impact gun to take it off. sometimes the shock shaft will spin a little bit, but continue to hit it with the impact gun. i will eventually come off. if that doesnt work for some reason, ur gonna have to get a saw zaw and cut the shock shaft right below the nut. ( i had to do this to one of my shocks because i stripped the allen key head so much that the nut wasnt able to come off. i had messed up the threads on the shaft so it wasnt able to come off with the impact gun)
good luck

i would personally try the impact gun method first. but if u cant do that, then go ahead and cut it with a saw zaw. but first remember to COMPRESS the spring. if u dont, u might get hurt when u cut the shaft off. the spring will come flying off which is very dangerous . both methods require u to compress the spring. but if u have lowering springs installed on the shock already, i dont think u need to compress them, but u should just to be safe
