Hi everyone, I have a simple question, is it possible to spray clear coat on top of carbon fiber decals? I am not using tamiya clear, instead I am using rust-oleum's clear. I tried putting clear coat on my skyline (on top of the decals) and it worked, but that was with tamiya clear.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Yes Clear will look better on a CF job.
But I'm not sure about your Clear. If it's too "hot", it will eat the decal. Play safe, get Tamiya Clear to work over decals and work with very light coat

I use Future (an acrylic floor "wax" made by Johnson's) to cover all my CF decals. Dries quickly to a hard surface and is self leveling...so you can simpyl brush it on.
Matthew at Scale Motor Sports (SMS) recommends a product by MicroScale...can't remember the name.
Anyways, depending on the CF to ber replicated, either use an acrylic clear or a semi-gloss.
