I am looking to put a new engine into my del sol and i want to put a turbo onto that engine and i am wondering which engine would be best to start out with to end up with the most power. I am looking between the H22, GSR, and an integra LS block with b16 head but i dont know much with the compression of the LS and b16 combo if it would be low enough to run a turbo, same with the H22. I am looking to reinforce the bottom end and run 25-35 pounds of boost. I also want my car to still have adequate handling. Please help me out!

Personally I would go with a K20 or B18C1 or B18C5 swap.

All would be good, but I wouldn't go with the C5 due to the high compression..especially not with 25-35 lbs of boost as this guy says! It can be done, but it'd be so much cheaper to go with something with slightly lower compression, not so much aimed at N/A performance.

k20 is a bad choice, as it spins the wrong way.
c5 is a bad choice for 25-30lbs of boost, along with the ls-vtec.
i would go with a straight ls motor with that much boost. do you really need to hit 25-30lbs, or are you just throwing numbers out there? that much boost would be unstreetable, as it would take forever to spool up. i would consider a more reasonable amount, say 10-15. a c1 or h22 with that much boost, tuned decently, is worth 300hp with little trouble. once you hit 25-30lbs, you are looking at a 5-600hp honda, which is not a streetable machine.

what about 15-20 ponds of boost how would 20 drive on a gsr engine i know there would be a little bit of work on the bottom end but i do want something that can eat some cars especially some V8's.

search around a little bit to see what other setups people have, and the numbers they are getting. try and figure out how fast you want to go first, rather than how much boost you want to run. use 1/4 mile numbers, since thats the easiest way to tell how fast a car is.

there are plenty of fast del sols out there, and it can hold any engine that any other honda can, within reason of course. if you just want all out speed, a mid-nineties civic hatch with a motor swap is the way to go. those weigh next to nothing, and costs very little to upgrade. i think you just need to research it a little bit more before dumping thousands of dollars into a car. pick what you like best from each setup and decide which car will give you the best compromise. head over to this site: http://www.hondavision.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=167 and search around a little bit.
