battery terminal psot

ok well i have a 99 gp gt. i was gonna replace mine for my amp and when i lookd at the one in now it needs that hex head so i touched it and taht whole red rubber piece with that post came out and i noticed there the post taht supposed to screw into battery is gone ... the hole post piece that screws in is rotted away from acid ... and i cant get the red of the metal terminal piece out of the red rubber piece .. hwo do i get it out.. thanks

well i found out that the rest of the post .. taht i though rotted off, the part u screw into the battery ... is stuck in batteyr ..so i will need a new one.. but how do i get the rest of the terminal piece out of that red rubber piece with wire
