Koni Red v. Yellow... need help!

I could use some help from those of y'all who have tried my combination...

I have a 95 Accord EX 4dr. I've already purchased H&R OE springs. I'm ready to go for Koni's but am not certain if I should go with Reds or Yellows. Here's what I want in my ride. I want to lower the car but not by more than 1" or so. I'm told the H&R OE's will drop .5" but more like .75" or so after they settle. I would like to have a fairly soft ride, nothing harsh as I use the car for daily driving, including getting kids to school and daycare. I don't need adjustability to go firm for any kind of spirited driving so I doubt if I'd really ever go play with the Yellow's knobs. I would consider the Yellow's lower perch setting for the additional .5" drop but have read that Red's have perch adjustments. I will be installing 17x7s and 215/45-17s at some time in the future. Koni's website says use Reds for stock springs, Yellow's if height is lowered. Do H&R OE qualify as stock? They are probably a little stiffer so the Yellow's softest setting, a little stiffer than stock, might combine to be too stiff.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I beleive Koni red's for Honda applications DO NOT have the adjustable perch, it's only the yellows. I would consider H&R OE's a stock level spring since the lowering is so little & spring rate increased very little, so even stock struts would be ok. If you don't feel you need adjustable struts go with the Reds, I personally like have some sort of manual ride control.

Ok... so Reds are not height adjustable. Then if I use them and I want more drop than the springs offer, I'm SOL.

how much are you going to be paying for your koni reds anyways? if anything over $300, i would recommend that u get KYB agx's instead. they are tunable and will give a nice smoot ride. you can get em brand new for $280 on ebay. i wouldnt waste my money on the koni yellows if i were u. u wont need them if you are only gonna drop your car by .75". there more for extremely lowered cars like 2". the ride might be stiffer too with the koni yellows. i would even recommend u getting a set of KYB GR-2's ($190) or even Tokico blues ($240). they will give u a smooth ride and are very affordable. try looking on ebay man. things are cheap there

I would scratch the idea of the koni yellows if i were u. u wont need them.

Cost is not an issue, just the ride quality. I'm trying to for a total drop of about 1-1.5" therefore the H&R OE and possibly Koni Yellows. I thought the Reds were height adjustable but was incorrect. I will probably run the Yellows on the softest setting and lowest perch position.
