Air Conditioning Vents

was at a drive-in last night - went to put the air on defrost for the front windshield and it got stuck...when u try to switch to normal it makes a really loud thumping noise which might be normal, but through all of em it jus pushes air to windshield...any suggestions? thanks

that thump is something that makes the air go to the windshield....
like a big ...valve...kinda.

First just take off the radio bezel (upper center console). Look behind the heat controls to see if the cable has slipped off the function control switch. Take a look...

If thats fine, then go to the other end of the cable and check that. Thats probly all the problem is, it slipped off one of the two ends.

sry old post lol, but it still isnt fixed - and the function control cable is fitting on there real good

i'm about to take the thing to a shop and have em fix it
