stabilizer link

I need to know if I need to remove front wheels and use additional jacks for my subframe to change the stabilizer links on my 96 LX? The Haynes Manual requires 2 floor jacks to remove the stabilizer bar itself. Also the studs on the link arm have allen wrench sockets on the end if I use the allen wrench to hold the stud while I am tightening up the nut how do I determine the torque? I have a few open end wrench heads with a socket driver attachment, but not a 18mm size. I also know when you offset the torque wrench you change the torque values. I have a set of ramps, 2 jack stands, 1 floor jack. Thanks.

when you say stabilizer links, I am assuming your talking about the sway bar and the sway bar links. To my knowledge you will not have to go to all that trouble to replace the links. Jack the car up at the link, and unbolt. To replace the links (I'm not sure if you have the ones shaped like a Z or the straight type links). Use your wrench to hold the nut and get a set of allen (or torx if it is a torx setup) sockets and use them with your torque wrench while holding the wrench in place.
