i bought a nissan 350zby Yat Ming ready to customize, im planning on buying a pre made body kit from www.scaleautostyle.com where there is a top quality body kit but im not sure if its for 1/18 or not or whether it is suitable or buying one from tuning18.com but there is no 350z ones and im not sure about cutting up my car can anyone suggest anymore sites

SAS is for plastic models, the kits are only 1/24 scale and a few 1/25. The 350Z Body kits that Chris sells are for the Tamiya 350Z (1/24).

As far as a 1/18 body kit, you will most likely need to build your own.

so how do i do this i am meant to use styrene right but i cant get hold of this
is it all right to simply use putty for a simple body kit and do i have to cut my old one
is it worth designing the kit first
and finally can someone give me a gd method
eg: shape it first then leave it till it is cuttable and then mold the vents or mould it around the existing vents.
thanx for your help m8

For body kits its an unique, and intuitive process. There are no set steps. Basically, use stryene to form the basic shapes, then use some putty. Thats the good method.

The other way is to just use bondo for the whole thing, but it will create a weak and unstable body kit.

I know 12 year olds who dont have any problem typing correctly and efficiently.

As far as tuning18 I have no idea what any of it says, so I cant help you there :dunno:

That's a bit of common knowledge. Measure, have a keen eye, get some calipers if you want to be right on. Most of all, have a keen eye.

Something about your name and the way that thing looks tells me that you posted in the wrong place. That is an intensely crazy pair of 355s though.

...that's the kit from tuning18.com right?

...i would love to be able to make my own body kits, but i'm lacking in that artistic ability... maybe somebody from the boards here that is good at resin molds could make parts for those of us that can't lol ;)
