I have a 2002 GA GT i was wandering if there was a ramair intake system (my car is ram air already but the stock intake looks pretty restrictive to me) that actualy would utlize the 2 hood scoops on my hood?

with a v6 you wouldnt want to use the 2 hood scoops that ram air would suck everything and anything.... ie. unwanted moisture, and the 3.4 is a relitvly moisture free eng., now if you were running a 350 or a v8 i would tell you how to use the hood scoops, but on a v6 its not worth it. srry :disappoin

It would be tough to match 2 scoop intakes from the hood that would seal into position when you close the hood , pioneer it if your capable cus Id love to see one made. Notice how large the air cleaner box is , it may seem restrictive but actually has a performance purpose. Since theres a large volume of air sitting in the box the engine has a great big breath of air to give it a sudden burst of power then slows as it draws air into the box to replace it as you keep accelerating its just more than enough to keep it optimal. If the engine intakes are ported and headers/exhaust work is done more volume of air may be needed (not in winter climates -10'c or 14'f) in colder climates the intake is fine cus more air gets in smaller spaces. My car is a molested primate in the winter , the intakes straighter and the ram air tube works great for a cold air source. I been using a indoor out door thermometer to test engine air temperatures in the summer , I can honestly say from experience that when the intake air temperature is 30'c or 86'f its pretty much useless for power and fuel economy. When the intake air is around 20'c or 68'f the engine has alot of snap. When the air temperature is below that you will notice as it gets colder and colder it has more torque more throttle response and more top end power. In -30'c to -40'c or -22'f to -40'f my car runs smooth and when you step on it you can hear mass volumes of air makin its way through the intakes its very nice , the throttle response is almost instant and it never has a lack of power.
Since this is a gm motor it likes to run hot. Low temp thermostat made it act a bit better , makes the fans cut in out more often helps the engine run nicer on hot days. sorry for the text bein so loong

ok thanks i was just wonderin
but so would i get a performance from taking out the stock intake and putting a traditional CAI? like the one from dr speed?

best you can do is go and get a K&N (3-2121-1 or 3-2121) filter; you'll notice a slight improvement.
