Fluidyne Radiator Installed

Hey guys - I just got a Fluidyne radiator installed on my 90 CRX and as I was driving it home, I noticed that while moving 60-70mph, the temp gauge would drop down really low as if the car wasn't warmed up. Then I'd hit some slow traffic and the temp gauge would start to climb up to about not level, then when I get moving again, the gauge would drop down. Any ideas on what it could be? Need a new thermostat maybe? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

fluidyne is a really good radiator and keeps your engine cool.

sounds like your cars cooling system is running very good. i would say nothign to worry about. because aluminum is a better heat exchanger then the stock one. so as you start to move you get cool air moving through so it drops your temp, and when you slow down not as much cool air is coming in so it heats up alittle. i wish my cooling system worked that good.

also a part is that when you start to go your waterpump starts to turn faster therefore starts to push more coolant around so it starts to cool better

k when your in traffic and the gauge starts to climb, how high does it go ?

if it goes to alittle below half then thats good, above half way is no good. because you said not level so just wanting a claifying of that

When stopped and the car's just idling the temp gauge can go just below half. It never goes over half. Once the car starts moving, temp gauge falls back down all the way.

k just one more thing. when you say it drops down, does it drop down to like the bottom line, or does it drop all the way down below the C line like how it looks when the cars off ?

i would say as long as the temp gauge stays good then its all good

Worst case scenario, if you're really concerned, just have your car checked out by a mechanic.
