I am looking for a 4ch amp to power aftermarket speakers, which i havent bought yet and am still pondering over. id like the amp to give anywhere from 35rms to 60 rms at 4 ohms.thought about getting a profile ca440, is that amp good? if not let me know of some good models. Dont have to be high-end, just good value.or would it be just the same at that power to keep stock speakers and amp them?

If you do get a 4 channel amp, go with a little more power. I put a 300 watt Pioneer on my aftermarkets and the difference was unnoticeable. It basically puts out the wattage of an aftermarket deck but with a bit more clarity. If you really wanna hear your vocals loud and clear increase the RMS a bit.

You will want about 100 rms to each speaker if you are running 2. If you are running 4 50rms for each speaker should be fine. If you run comps you wouldn't notice much difference from headunit. If you run coaxs it should do way better. NO offense Kmoney28, but using the pioneer as an amp is a bad example. Those amps suck at putting out their rated power.
