ac compressor

i heard that the ac compressor was a big problem with the audis and i was wondering which compressor to buy to repair my car beacuse there are so many to chose from.

So, are you saying your compressor is shot, or are you saying you don't have one and want to install one aftermarket??

Because if you are replacing the existing compressor thinking that it's going out, I would first check the tensioner pulley on the AC belt. That is more likely to go out than the compressor. It is also a whole lot cheaper.

yea i know for a fact that the comressor is out we sent it to a dealer but wwe found out that a new comperrsor is 1000 and we could get on our selves for like 300 so i just needed to know which one to get

...I"m guessing you have a 96-97? common problem with them, unfortunately :(
