My T-Bird Got Wrecked Today...

My light turns green, i go, other driver blew right through a red light-and my car is wrecked (so is there car). I got some witnesses, and the other person is in the wrong 100%. Thes car she was driving was i believe a 2001 neon (rented also, cause her car was being repaired that she smacked up). She (late 60's) hit me at about a good 30 mph, head on, into my drivers side/front left wheel well. My whole front rack is completly crushed, the wheel/tire is bent in like forget it-undrivable. Her car was also completly crushed in. These tbirds are tanks-THANK GOD. I went to the hospital for xrays on my neck and back, all good but i have muscle pain.

This car was my baby man, i love it you know. Now, well tomorrow, i gotta pick up the police report's, talk to the insurance company's etc-lots of crap. I cannot stress on how good i kept this car, it was tip top-like a show car, even the police where saying what a shame. Oh, of coarse the women claims "my light was green"-she was driving in the lane that you can only make a right, and shes drove through that, PAST the red.

I seriously had someone looking over me today though, cause if she hit me directly in my drivers door, i'd be mashed up pretty good.

Oh yeah, i didnt even look under the hood-i swear it i was like in shock. But underneath i see a mixture of oil and antifreeze, which means it ain't good.

Im sorry to hear that solaris I smashed up my car a year ago too but Ive been fixing it little by little since im a college student(dont have alot of money, but the girls are plenty). What do you plan on doing with the TBIRD?

Sorry man. You can replace the bird, but can't replace yourself.

Thanks guys. As far as my car, i honestly hope the insurance can fix it. But my friend said that if the repairs go over the book value which i believe is somewhere around $3000, they don't fix it, and cut you a check. I swear it if someone said heres $10,000., or do you want the accident never to happen, i'd take my car over it. I LOVED this car. Only when you love something, it gets taken away, it just sucks. Tomorrow the claims adjuster is gonna call me, and all that jazz. I want to see if the Enterprise car rental will pay for the damages to my car, and hopefully fix it. BTW, she hit me with a 2004 dodge neon-brand spanking new. Just picked up the police report today, she lives like 1/4 mile away from me.

Main thing is though, that i was not injured.

I got about 3,000 of my 92 because it wasn't my fault and I had the Cervini's ram air hood on it.

I still miss it, but it could have been worse.

Yeah it's crazy, i love my car. And just to think that some old fart, that can give two shits about cars, wrecks mine. If i was on a motorcycle, i'd be roadkill. I just had all new pioneer speakers put in, new head unit, sub/amp combo-and on top of that, had my tranny serviced like 4 days ago. Round that total up and it hits $800. I'm gonna make sure i tell my adjuster this.

Lol, i just bought mothers wheel polish, and had my wheels looking mint. Frustrating is the word here.

Mother products rock. When i crashed my car over 1 year ago it wasnt my fault neither. It some some stupid woman that took a stop sign at a 4-way stop. There was a neon next to me and it was my our turn, so we start going and I hear the neon next to me breaking hard so I break as well. The neon stops just in time and keeps going. I, on the other hand hit the bitch on the side of her car and she spun like 45 degrees and hits a post. Moving to 2 months later , turns out the bitch lied to the insurance saying it wasnt her fault. I didnt get my car payed for or anything. The whole front bumper came off, the windshield cracked, the lights were broken.... I was mad too. I hate that bitch... stupid bitch. BITCH!

I have been depressed ever sense I got in my accident a couple of months ago. Luckily the front end didn’t get it to bad except the fact that the whole frame got bent up. So to fix it, me and my dad tied it to a tree and used a come along to try to straighten it out. The hood now closes all the way but is tied down with ropes and bungee cords...so no high speeds for me lol.

Another thing-which sucks, is that no matter how good the car is repaired, it will NEVER be the way it was. For instance, my friend used to have a 96 maxima, kept it in tip top shape, and one day an old guy drives out into the road, and literally stops in a 3 lane road. The maxima was totaled-but was actually fixed. You could hear all sorts of creaks and rattles at highway speeds afterwards. I myself was in 2 small accidents years ago-both my fault (woopsy) and i swear it the cars seem to wanna commit suicide after they've been banged up. Stuff just starts going wrong afterwards.

All i want is for my car to be fixed to be "drivable", then i think my next car is gonna be a manual V8 stang. Or maybe an automatic 9c1 cop car package-those baby's haul ass. But i really like how much fun manuals are. The only way i will get another tbird is if i can find a SC thats in great shape. These cars are awesome, but the weight is the downfall to them. Other then that, they are TANKS..

I had a mazda rx-7 that rolled over a year ago I got cut of by a big rig 18 wheeler my car rolled over three times and I WALKED when the cop came and seen my car they could not belive that I was standing there alive !!!
So trust me i realy feel for you I have done all of that insurance bull in it is no fun
