Hello...Im a newbie and I'm starting to do sketches cause I like....
...but I don't know what I should use...type of pencil...etc etc..
I use a classic pencil HB or H2B (I dont remember) that I use for school ... and for drawing I use normal A4 sheet...is right?
I like the "sketch world"...and I hope that all the user in this forum can became good car designers.

most people on this forum dont really want to become car designers, they just draw as a hobbie..
2b is a good pencil to use, but you can also use pencils from 9h to 9b if you like...
any paper is good...bristol is popular...but printing paper works...
welcome

Just use a normal no.2 or hb pencil for sketches, but for shaded drawings use a variety of different pencils. Once you get good at shading, try stubs/tortillons to clean up your shading.

Don't even sweat the materials till later. Pretty much anything that writes works just fine; though I will say softer lead is kinda nice. Just use whatever.

Whatever I can find: pen, pencil, crayon, it all gets the job done.
