I am working on my tamiya 350z with the SAS transkit and I had tamiya putty all over the body but now I want to take it off and start the body fresh again. I have already sanded most of it off but the parts that I dont want on there is still there. Does anyone have any tips to take all of it off.

tamiya putty is an aggressive type ( i dont know the exact terminology), meaning that it melts the plastic to stick on to it. if there was such a thing to strip it off, the body would be all distorted anyway. always remember to use putty carefully. ur best bet right now is to continue sanding and hope u dont lose too many body lines. good luck.

Try Mr. Colour Thinner (Oil based type), I have good luck with it. Apply little bit at a time, it is a very strong stuff! Make sure you wear a mask when using it! Good luck!
