well i went to my mail box today to find a letter from an insurance company. i opened it and there was a check inside, it was for $75,000
and also i can get my 95 firebird back for $300. i thought someone had
stolen the car from my insurance company, but it was the idiot that hit me is his insurance co. they come and got it to see how badly the car was torn up. my dad said to tear up the check and sue for more money.
what should i do. hell its 75 grand. i was thinking of a ss or a new vette.

WTF??? 75k??? Screw the car you have enough already buy yourself a house and rent the place out. Thats a ton of coin to spend on a car that is going to drop in value. Even if you spend some on a car atleast invest a good chunk for later on.
tacoma man.
07-23-2004, 07:47 PM
yeah thats what my dad said. he said that he would just give me his ss if i was wanting a new car that bad. there is a house up the road from my mom and dad that is $56,000, its a nice house even has an inground pool. and an attached 2 car carport. might just do that, and still have the dough to toy with.

Exactly. Its not everyday you get a huge check like that delivered to you in the mail. Well not most normal people anyways :P Housing for the most part is usually a good investment. Way better than a car.

everything that was in the car is sopposed to be intact according to that insurance co. i was thinking of putting the tranny in my 94 z.
the engine tranny and rearend are the only things left that are usable from the car it was mangled so bad. i have called the seller for the house up the road and the woman said that its been forsale for years and they would take 53,000. im going to buy it, i live with my parents and its time to move on. plus my dad said i could have the ss. :evillol:

ill think about it, what would you give for it?
see i have had a 3500 supercharger put on my z28, had a shift kit put in the tranny, repainted it, put on a set of chrome z06 rims. i have a lot of money in this car. its mainly for the strips. so im not letting the car go.

How is it that you got $75k? When he hit you, did he break your legs or something?

ok ill do that and have it inspected.
CRO, its a long story. i bought a 95 firebird that someone converted to a trans am. looked just like one and it had a 350 lt1 and 6 speed tranny. i took it and had it licened. and i was going to the mall one that night i saw two sets of headlights coming up behind me really fast, when the one that was in my lane got behind me he was going to cut of and
he hit the driverside rear of the car, spinning it around in the road and i hit the concrete barrier in the center about 4 times. it was a corvette that hit me, some kid racing a rice burner. he waited to late to change lanes and he snagged me. i had to be cut out of the car and i screwed up my left leg really bad. had back problems, missed work, i couldnt do nothing for a month and a half after that
plus i was cut from the broken glass. he hit me going around 70 mph he says. but his insurance co sent me a settlement.

$75K sounds like a good settlement because if you went to court you would have to give the lawyer a cut of the money. You will not regret investing in a home! Your Dad is a first rate fellow, really stand-up guy.

Renters have the potential to destroy your house, they do not report leaks which leads to dry rot and that is money down the drain. Also they bring pets in so be ready for new carpet, and besides you have no idea what they are doing in your home, If manufacturing drugs that can kill resaleability! ETC. ETC.

The house is a great idea, but if you really wanted a car why not a classic muscle car like a Chevelle 454SS or a really rare Camaro like a 1969 Camaro COPO with the 427 and 4 speed, or a Yenko Camaro. Just don't blow it, that is alot of money that will go by fast if you don't watch what you spend it on.
