Is there ECU codes on Avengers??

I have a 1996 Dodge Avenger ES v6 automatic and it has a checkengine light.The question is,Can I decode the problem with ECU codes or is there another way of figureing out the problem.If theres codes could someone please tell me them or post a website where I can find them?That would really help,Thanks.

Yes, you can check your codes yourself by turning your key a couple of times.... I'm not exactically sure how to do it because I have a 98 and it dose not work on 98's just go to www.asog.net and search for ecu codes... I believe there might even be a howto on the front page.
