Ey, umm, im seriously looking into getting a 240 and have a couple questions..im looking for a 1990-1993 240

I was looking on auto trader and found a numerous amount of 90-93 240sx's for sale, most under 7,000 but the ones i was looking at were 5500...i was interested in these specific ones because they already have the sr20 swap done to it, which i was planning to do ne ways but i was afraid of the difficulty and what it would take to install by myself so having the engine already in it is a plus. the engines have either 60,000 miles or less on them and have other upgrades...i was wondering if it would be safe to buy one of these cars, cuz 5500 seems like quite a deal for a 240 with the sr swap done to it...

Also, how long is it supposed to take for say 3 people to swap out the ka and put in the sr engine?

thanks a bunch, and if you have your 240 for sale for 6,000 or less, let me kno

i wanna car so friggin bad! :banghead:

is it me, or is something really irratating about the name "jdm 240"?

w/e...well, it would be nice to start off with an sr'd car off the block, but most likely, since youre gonna buy an already modified car, then youre gonna run into some problems.

and yes, j's do rule. im partial to the 18's myself

if 5500 is your budget you might want to take a look into searching for a cheap s13 and paying for the swap yourself.

I have to agree w/TheLogkal1. I'm assuming since it already has an sr, then it's been driven hard. I'd prefer getting a cheap s13 and doing the swap myself along w/getting the rims, sus, exhausts etc that I like. But I'd definitely speak w/the sellers, hopefully if they took the time to do an sr swap, they are car enthusiasts that would have maintained the car well too.

^right. If you do the swap yourself, you should be able to come out with the money for boost controller, maybe even a nice T3/T4 and decent exaust. And you can get the parts you want, not what they have.
