My girlfriend has a 1995 cavalier, she has had a high temp problem for awile now. I did a coolant flush and changed the thermostat in hopes to solve the situation and we still have high temp issues. If anyone has a few troubleshooting ideas, I would be greatly apprectiative! Thanks

Check the hoses and make sure they are not sucking shut. If the hoses are original replace them. Also check to see if the temperature sensor is going bad. Sometimes this will give you a bad temp reading when in fact the temperature is alright. Check the radiator to see if it is blocked in any way. Remove the radiator support brackets on the top and lean it back toward the engine. There is a lot of crud that builds up between the condensor and the radiator, you can flush it out with a garden hose. Finally, make sure the fans are working. These go bad and will not come on causing an overheating problem. Just a few ideas to help you out.
