tranny ques: gsr to a type r

I recently bought a gsr motor for my civic with a crappy tranny. The 2nd gear grinds and 5th gear pops out automatically. I was wondering whether it was possible to convert my gsr tranny to a type r tranny with LSD, or should I just buy a new tranny?

The ITR trans has different gearing vs. the standard GSR, so just putting an LSD in would not make it an ITR trans, and it won't fix your grinding issues either.

couldn't i get type r syncros. in your opinion, or anyone else with tranny experience, what should be done?

I believe it'd be cheaper to just swap out the gsr tranny to a straight type-r one.
This whole conversion deal doesn't sound too friendly.
