If it's not one thing, it's something else...

Got my car back from the shop about a week ago for a major power steering leak, and now a coolant hose has sprung a leak...if it's not one thing, it's something else... Luckily, I can see the hose and it doesn't seem too hard to get to...but I've thought that before...
It's the hose that the upper arrow is pointing to. You can't see the hose I'm talking about, but it's right behind the hose the lower arrow is pointing to. Behind, meaning, inline with...following the hose the lower arrow is pointing to away from the radiator, the hose I need is past the cap, past the next piece of hose, past the regulator (or whatever it is...don't remember exactly), and off to the right heading down into the engine. There's a tiny pinhole in it and I could look down into the engine and see the coolant shooting out of the pinhole toward the front of the car. I REALLY hope that it's not some $300, super-duty, high pressure, ultra-hose or something cuz my wallet is still recovering from the power steering fix a week or so ago. Anyone ever changed this hose?

I cant think of what the hell that could be for. Its not for the heater because that hose comes out the back of the engine.
Keep in mind however, that no part of the coolant system is ever going to be above 100psi. Because of this, coolant lines are very cheap. I paid $7 AUD a metre for some standard 3/4" heater hose.
Have you followed the hose around to see where it goes? It would help if we knew what the hose was for.

All this for a teeeeeeeny weeeeeeeeny little hole. Oh well. I didn't think it would cost much, but I wasn't sure. I get paranoid over shit like this cuz it rarely ever goes my way. It's only ~5" long or so, so I wouldn't think it'll cost that much.
