I just had a 3.4 pulley installed and the said that the belt was a little lose and was worried that the belt might slip under heavy accelleration.Do you need to buy a smaller belt? The putting it on didnt know.I drove the car home and it seemed fine, but I didnt want to beat on it until I found out.
Thanks for any info,
Rich

You should be fine w/ the stock belt. What happens with using too loose of a belt is that you'll see a loss of boost at high rpm becuase the belt is slipping.

Gatorback belts are probably the best upgrade.

Gatorback part number

- 4060660 belt = 3.25" - 3.4" pulleys
- 4060650 belt = 2.9" - 3.1" pulleys
- 4060642 belt = 2.7" - 2.85" pulleys

I would say that any place that sales the pulley should have the belt.
But I thought the stock belt was way too short to run on the 3.4 pulley. But I never tried to run it either.

Yah Ripn was right the guy said the stock one was a little more loose than he liked but would be fine and did seem to slip a little on high rpm's,but I got the gatoback belt from 3800 performance and it ended that problem.
Thanks Ripn
