I am getting rid of a 1992 Accord, and of course I just filled the gas tank. Is there any special technique or advise on siphoning gas? Will the siphon tube stick in the hole so I cant get it back out ( anti-theft design)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

LOL... are you seriously griping about 20 bux worth of gas?? :)
You're going to spend 3 dollars on a hose that will fit into the tank and possibly 100 bucks on the trip to the instant health care clinic if you screw up and swallow gas.. if you DON'T go to the clinic, all I can tell you is, drink milk, DON'T puke it back up... be prepared to burp gas fumes for the next 24 hours and it's going to burn a little when you pee.
You'll also need to find a fuel storage tank large enough to hold 13 gallons (I assume this car's been wrecked or simply died, you're not selling it and leaving the buyer with a gallon or less of gas, are you?)... once you find 'said' storage tank, it HAS to be lower than the base of the fuel tank, this is the whole mechanism behind siphoning. It's a gravity thing.
Okay, so you need to insert one end of the hose/tubing into the tank until you feel like it's reached the bottom, put the other end near the inlet of your storage tank, put your mouth on the end of the hose and begin sucking.. SUCK SLOWLY, you want to get it to where you can either SEE it coming down hill towards you (I recommend clear tubing) or feel it pushing air towards you, that means it's begun flowing, then quickly stick that end of the tube into the 'receiving' tank. The siphoning action will do the rest.
Good luck.
