I have had this '92 XLT f150 since febuary. The dual tank switch on the dashboard has never given me any problems. But a few days ago, it popped out of it's housing and fell back into the dashboard. I can still reach it to switch the tanks, but I just can't stand it being out of place. HOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO PUT THE SWITCH BACK IN PLACE?
Thanks,
dro

Well for starts you get a screwdiver, find and remove the screws for the plasic, the re set the switch where it goes.
it's really logical, not that hard to do, and if you can't figure it out then I fell sorry for ya.

Actually, if it fell into the dash, you broke the clips that hold it into place. You will need to take the panel off and more thatn likely super glue it in place. It will make it a pain in the butt if it goes bad.

clips? growl...
so...i pop off the panel, glue the switch back in place, and hope for the best? it would, i imagine, probably be a waste of money to buy a salvaged panel...
another thing....how much would a salvage frontend bumper cost me...could be a good thing to look for while i'm out looking for the panel

You would have to price the bumper for your area it might be different around here than what you would pay.
