OK first i was looking at getting a nice 95 bmw M3. but my dad said NO because it was RWD and i live in maine and plus because it was a BMW. so now I was looking at a Honda Prelude(v-tec), VW GTI 1.8T, VW VR6, or maybe Integra GS-R all 95 and newer. what would be the best to drive during the winter and still fast as hell.

GTi 1.8t
Or get a GSX man.
Or get a GSX man.

get the VR6 because we all know there's no replacement for displacement. Also if you were to turbo it, you will kill MOST turbo imports out there, such as civics, integras, etc.

I would go with the gs-r/prelude, just because I don't trust vw's reliability. Plus, I don't like their shifters, even though they have reverse in the right place, and the vr6 gets worse gas milage if you care about that. In terms of speed, they're all within a couple of tenths from each other and they all have adequate aftermarket support.

Go all wheel drive they are a lot better for the winter.

I recomend checking out the 3000GT VR4, or a turbo GSX/TSI because they are AWD and turbo and you can win your dad over with the all wheel steering of the VR-4 evn though it won't realy help you much in bad wheather.

Wow all those cars you said are a big step down from an M3. If you got that kind of money get an Audi S4. I mean its AWD turbo and can run 11s with a stage three kit :evillol: Out of the ones you said though I would go with the VR6. I saw one in a mag making 600hp with a centrifugal supercharger...I almost wet my self  but I like the VR4 idea too

I was thinking he could get something thats less money than the S4 you mentioned so he can put that saved cash into two big ass turbos and supporting mods (beefier intercoolers, high flow fule pump, big injectors, new "Y" pipe and such). It would be a beautiful beast, you can't beat the 3000GT in looks!

civics and integras are turboed??? Unless you meant aftermarket turbo kits  Anyways, best thing to drive during winter and that is fast etc.. is obviously an AWD car and none of the cars on that lits would cut it. Id say go with a GSX/TSI AWD or VR4/R/TTT AWD. The DSM is cheaper than the 3s but both cars are amazing if you ask me :icon16:

I agree, though there is the problem with mitsu reliability if you car about that. Very fun cars though, and can be made scary-fast for cheap.

In Maine, is winter snow or ice? If its ice (like MO and TX), then you could have three hundred wheels and be AWD, it still wont help. Personaly, I'd go with one of teh VDubs, but I'm biased towards German Cars.

if u got the money, and know how to take care of cars get a nice gsx with under 50k b/c mitsus r pretty shaky after 100k. after that 1.8t is nice and preludes are nice cars.
