TUNER TRANSFORMATION does a CRX

Well the guys at TUNER TRANSFORMATION did a CRX Si the other night, it was pretty cool whatching them swap a motor (of course they "sourced it out") a D series for a B series...

Although when it was done the owner did not look as happy as he should have been..

For one thing it looked like he had a few mods done already with the most being either a 0bd1 motor swap or a mini-me...

And the strange thing that I did notice was they did not run any speed tests and compare the before and after like the normaly do.. Hrmmm, could his D have been setup to have as much power as a stock B? Hrmm.....


For those of you who don't know TUNER TRANSFORMATION sorta like pimp my ride. Well a really toned down version anyway. :)

I've seen most of the episodes of that show (missed that specific one) but I'm surprised they didn't just add nitrous and rice it out like they usually would have. He should have taken it to Pimp My Ride instead ;).

No kidding. If they messed up his car, or even if it was already messed up some and they contributed to it and made it worse by jury riggin the motor swap (and it sounds like they did), I'd find a good lawyer and sue their ass.

They could have done a much better job fixing his car up. the visuals wasn't changed much and I think thats why he was un happy....?but who knows. the put put in a B16a.....

They don't always do the performance tests. I know when they took the '85 Corolla they put it on the dyno but they only did that car for drifting. The car that I would have liked to have after they got done with it was the '04 E-Blue SRT-4 with AGP turbo kit, FMIC, new fuel system, etc. But of course I really like SRT-4's. Only thing I didnt' like about the SRT-4 was the wing they put on...but that could always be changed.

I watched it the day before yesterday... that had to be the most homosexual thing I've ever seen.... ghey rims, ghey show hosts, ghey yellow tinting, ghey x 10 pink shirt..... too much damn 'bling' and not enough practicle performance.

I like watching Horsepower TV, Trucks, Car & Driver, and all those other shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I'd rather watch those shows than Pimp My Ride. Tuner transformation at least deals with performance once in a while, lol...unlike Pimp My Ride.

That show is horrible IMO. There is no one on TV that can really work on those cars. They are all retarded actors I think.

Yeah, that was one of the better shows I've seen on... but yeah, I was tired of all the car and motorcycle customizing shows from the get go. I was feeling alright when all there was, was the Spike TV shows on Saturdays... but when I started seeing American Choppers and American Hot Rod on every night... and tuner shows pop up all over the remote control dial... I got real bored real quick.

i'm glad i didn't see it. those guys are gh3y. all these new shows are making me crazy. i'm at home buying broken left for dead cars and fixing them up...doing body kits, engine swaps, lowering, sound systems and barely coming out ahead. but yet these horrible middle aged actors are being paid to act like they know whats going on :banghead:

I especially hate the guy on Tuner Transformation who does the "visual" modifications. He's the guy who tries to act all tough with his ripped off sleves, and puts on widebody kits and double decker spoilers. I'd let my car go on there, and then sell it afterwards since it was on TV :iceslolan

All of those shows have the same old crap. They have to get it done before time runs out, and it's always down to the last minute. At least on Monster Garage they have had some true failures. I loved the one where Jesse blasted the thing w/a military Gatlin gun. It looked like swiss cheeze.
Even that show has been crappy lately.

I watch Tuner Trans. just to see what's up. I don't care much for the wackos in the shop and I think too that the owners could at least act a little more excited. They could at least clean up the engine compartment when they are swappin a mtor. That CRX was a grime pit. Did you notice how greasy everything was. Installing that new engine and putting all those new parts on was a crappin waste, that thing was freakin nasty.

The Trucks show on Spike is pretty cool (even though it is a truck show). At least he tells everyone "Now get up off your lazy ass and go build something". He's inspiration for the masses.

Yeah those shows on Spike TV are pretty kool. I got a info packet from Wyotec and they sent a DVD with it that had tours and stuff; but it had some "how tos" and "how things work" from those shows on it, I was pretty impressed.

Trucks is pretty cool...I like when he takes the trucks out and actually drives them. He drives the shit outta those trucks, its awesome.
