Hello,
My car has a loose ball joint and needs to be driven to my garage today.
The car was lifted briefly yesterday and showed some loose in the right wheel. i can also hear a sound sometimes under when turning.
I need to drive it for about 1/2 hour so I can get back to my garage.
Should i be okay ?
I understand this needs to be taken care of very quickly but dont know if I can even drive the thing.
Thanks !

Have it towed to the shop. It's going to be cheaper than your insurance co-pay if something breaks loose and you hit someone or something. It's not worth hurting yourself or someone else on the road.

if its a relatively straight and smooth shot to the garage, I might try it, staying under 35 mph the whole way with someone following you of course.

It's probably your CV joint that make the noise when you turn. Well, unless your CV joint is incredibly worn, you should be fine. It's not that easy for a CV joint to break apart. Even it does, you still have brake and steering so you still can control your vehicle, but the car probably will not move again after you stopped due to the differential that transfers power to one drive shaft (the broken one) only. Drive gently and slowly, you should be fine.
