Ok so how much hp does an Intake and Muffler really add. I want to know for sure cause so far i think all they do is make sound an intake sounds cool ,a ricer is just annoying.
BTW 2 weeks ago my heart skipped a beat and i almost died. SOMEBODY PUT A RICE BURNER MUFFLER ON A BMW. AHHH how could somebody do that?

Now an intake and 3 inch turbo back would be quite noticable.
It felt like my turbo lag was cut in half

you wont get a whole lot but it is nearly required to open up the airflow of the engine for any serious mods. mufflers alone add almost no power.

alright heres the deal...the intake might add no more than a 5% increase in horsepower...and that depends on the car and the intake...the muffler...if its only the muffler then no...i hate when people just add a muffler and think their car is awesome...true a 3 in turbo back EXHAUST SYSTEM would be free flowing and allow the air to get out faster...but if a 3 or 4 inch muffler on the last foot and half is added...then no its just crap and the people wasted their money...but hey more power to the people that build them cause they tapped into a market full of idoits willing to buy the crap...i think i expressed my distaste for coffee can mufflers as i like to call them fairly well
