All I can say is WOW, My car really is running stronger. It feels much better with extra HP. I had a little trouble installing it but finally got it. I give the SLP lid Two Thumbs Up!!! It feels like I'm getting about 15 extra HP. Also I installed a holley filter (powershot)

What is an SLP lid :screwy:
The lid is the part that covers the air filter and gets rid of some of the extra stock crap. LM Performance is where I got mine for $89.00. The stock lid is restrictive on the air flow. There are about six different manufacturers of air lids, SLP is the one I chose.

Can you post a picture with the lid? I just bought my '99 Z28 a few months ago and the person that had it before me did some mods to it. I think I have the "SLP lid" because the air box says "LS1 motorsports". Also, I think my oxygen sensor says SLP too. Is that what you have? I'll try to take a pic as soon as I can.

I'm no LS1 guy, but I'm pretty sure LS1 motorsports is a diff. company than SLP.

The Lid will have SLP printed on it, LM Performance is selling them for $89.00 on special. Super Chevy did a comparisn on about six different lids and SLP was high on the list and so was TSP. The dyno they did showed 11HP gain for SLP and LS1 motorsports dynoed out at 11HP also. TSP dynoed at 11-12 HP gain. In genearal they all showed good results on the Quarter mile runs . SLP had the best overall rating, for Quality ,fit, ease of installig etc.
