Anyone with trans temp guage on Rodeo?

Just curious what temps you are running with the stock radiator cooling under normal and perhaps not so normal driving conditions.

My coolant temperature gauge reads about 1/3 of the way up regardless of how I drive it or how warm it is outside. I don't have a trailer hitch so I'm not stressing anything very much.

There is no transmission temperature gauge that I'm aware of, just the idiot light.

Hope this helps,
Dale

Yes I know there is no factory temp guage for the tranmission. The subject of this thread was referring to someone installing an aftermarket temperature guage to monitor the tranmission fluid, and those that have, what are the temps they are seeing under various conditions.

Thanks for the clarification.

Sorry to say, but I thought your reply was a bit harsh. 95.5 Rodeo was just aiming to give a bit of info, seeing as no one had responded to your post.

For me, I would love to have someone install a transmission temp gauge, as my beast does tow a 4K# boat; mainly on flat-land. But, I have to be honest, I totally baby this truck and have never driven it into a harsh level of output. And, at 124K miles with not a single tranny issue, I guess I've figured that regular flushes/maintenance has been good enough.

That's not to say it hasn't seen miles and miles of harsh dirt roads, and 3rd gear/power mode hauling the boat from Tennessee back to Colorado. So, I'm sure there "have" been times where it really needed to be watched.
