I have a horrible dash squeak! It sounds like a mouse.
I remembered this post:
http://www.geocities.com/endre_rl/isuzufaq.htm#faq55
and I tighten the three dash bolts (the middle one was loose), then I took it for a spin, and there it was still there!
So does anyone know where I can pick up washers that have oneside which is rubber? I think I will also, remove all the nuts and take it for a spin too. It is driving me nutz!

I have a dash squeak on my 1995.5 Rodeo and found / tightened loose screws, Etc. I tracked it down to the passenger's side airbag. While driving, I place my hand on it and the noise stops. I'm sure your dash design is different but it may be worth a look.
Good luck,
Dale

Amigo -
Did you ever get the squeak fixed? My '01 Rodeo just started sqeaking. The only way to describe the sound is that it's the same squeak you get when taking a new tv (one that's packed in styrofoam) out of the box. Seems to be coming from around the guages and ONLY on hot days. Doesn't squeak early in morning.

I wish!
1. I tighten down the dash bolts (3), so squeak turn into more of a rubbing sound.
2. The removed the center and left nut and took it for a drive. It was still there.
3. I tried to put grease around the same bolts, and i sprayed silicon lube on the bold, on the windshield (which ran down the windshield and behind the dash), still no luck.
4. I removed the 2 screws by the cluster, and had about half of the black trim off (start from the top of the cluster) before I stopped. I didn't want to snap the plastic.
So Here I am. The Rubbing sound is okay, with the radio at low levels, The squeak was driving me batty!
The styrofoam sound, is about right.
