Corner Shadow Lights?

I was on a site the other day and they were talking about Shadow Corner Lights and how to do it. Like the amber corner lights, take them apart and use the window tint inside to make them look like a shadowy color. I guess it's considered JDM, has anyone heard of anything like this?

Nightshades will do it, you just spray paint it on and it blacks them out.

does it look any good? like is it worth doing it?

you can just buy black corners on ebay for like 15 bux and save the hassle.
