Looked up used transmission(automatic) for a 87 S-10 and for the automatic it came up with the following choices: AT 4x2 TH180, TH700 W/auxiliary valve body and finally TH700 W/O valve body. What is the difference in these auto transmission's ? How can I check to see what the 87 S-10 has in it? Thanks for the info!! John

ok u will need the 180...the other ones are made for the s-10s and blazers with 4.3s and u will need a 4x2 tranny, cuz if urs is 2wd then u wont need one with a transfer case on it, so get the 4x2 180
