Scratch X Help?

I remember a while back someone posted pictures of an orange Lamborghini Miura with a beutiful paint job, and all they did was sand with 2000 grit and use Meguire's Scratch X. I tried this, and didn't have any luck :( Has anyone else tried it, or know EXACTLY how to do it? Like how much to apply, and how long to wait before taking it off?

Scratch X is a polish, not a wax. You put a small amount on a very soft cloth, such as an old flannel shirt, and polish the surface by rubbing it back and forth. You want to build up some friction, it's the heat of the friction that does the polishing. If you simply wipe it on/wipe it off, it will do nothing.

Is it anything like a compound? Becuase if it is then rubbing fast will take your paint off in a jiffy!
