Brake pedal adjustment?

Is there any way to adjust the brake pedal so the brakes are tighter? My problem is that my brakes dont start engaging until the pedal is about half depressed.

Ive ruled out the master cylinder or the pads being a problem. (at least in the front...they are brand new greenstuffs)

Any help would be great. I dont really want to start messing with stuff without a good direction. (I tend to screw stuff up that way)

Maybe try bleeding the brakes. Or if you change to braided brake lines they will be nice and stiff.

ya, definitly investigate the fluid (bleed the brakes), if it is old and there are air bubbles, it could be your problem...
