Upgrading my '00 Civic DX

Hey Guys and Gals,

I recently just acquired a Honda Civic DX 2000.

I own a r34 skyline already and would like to create a project car of the DX.

Problem is that they don't make too many parts for the DX due to the economy engine. So the question is: what is out there in the world of import racing that I could get to get my project underway.

I already have the following:

1. R34 Body Kit
2. Full Exhaust (Apex' i)
3. Konig 5 spoke rims with Toyo Proxy
4. Air Induction System (K&N)

Another question is: Do the parts they make for the EX swap to the DX?

If that is the case, then I can get my other parts, but what I would like to create is a car that has some good HP/Torque but using the D16 engine (with some slight mods).

Thanks Guys

Only way you are going to get decent power from a DX engine is turbocharging, supercharging, or using a shot of nitrous oxide with upgraded internals.

Leaving the engine Naturally Aspirated and slapping some bolt ons will not give you decent power, maybe "decent" sound, but not power.

My suggestion? Look at the Complete Swapping Guide in this 92+ civic section, its a sticky, lots of engines to make your dx faster.

Own a R34? Post some pics, pretty cool.

isnt it true that the newer model engines dont responde well to certain mods?

Are you going more for really high speed or decent speed but nice show-car looks?
