I'm looking for cat back system for my 95gsr. I want a fairly quiet system that can still make some good hp gains. Any suggestions, hit me up.

go for an RSR system, it looks stock as hell and it's only a little louder than stock

Don't forget to mention its the RSR Ex-Mag and not the GT2. The GT2's are just about as loud as N1's.
I'd also recommend the Apexi World Sport.

You guys have any experience with RSR? It's just too bad the ex mag looks so gay. I'll keep them in mind though. what I'm really trying to avoid is that high pitched lawn mower sound that some exhausts make. I don't mind cat backs with a deep throaty sound.

umm you think the EX mag looks bad? I think its purty but that is my pick. alot of people will say the greddy but i think its horrid sounding Apex I WS is a good call too.

The reason the Ex-Mag looks so "gay" is because its supposed to be a stock replica.

Better gains they say than the A'PEXi WS, but just as quiet, which is nearly as quiet as stock, but with a deeper and only slightly louder tone. Never buzzes, and appeals to almost all that see/experience it. Only drawback is it's price... :bloated: BTW, I roll with a A'PEXi WS on my Civic, and if I had to get exhaust again, I'd still get the WS.

The Apexi WS sounds kinda like a stock 1g miata exhaust. Sporty, but only when you step on it. I'm in the middle of the same debate right now. I have three questions: first, why does the ex-mag have "better gians"? It has the same size piping as the WS, and they're both chambered. It it just muffler design?
Second, why would you still choose the WS over the Ex-Mag, Silver?
And third, is one of the exhausts any louder than the other?

Thermal R&D has a nice sound to it. I love it on my crx. It's loud at time's but not ricey loud. They also have a new stealth system.
I like the sound of apexi N1 exhaust's and the look but they can get loud as shit.

Gosh, I haven't heard an EX-Mag system since like '99 when a buddy had one on his GSR Integra. But it was quite, VERY quiet, I never even knew he had a system on it.
As for performance, it's all in the muffler design as you correctly guessed. I couldn't explain how though, LOL! But my understanding from what I've heard/read is that this is the case, Ex-Mag has better gains.
Why would I still go the WS? Well for one the price. I got mine brand new for $385 from a local shop. The EX mag is easily $150 more than that. The WS uses a 100% stainless steel muffler, and the piping is some specially coated I'm guessing steel, it doesn't rust though whatever it is. Also I've heard from a source, that the EX-Mag has a quality issue. That being it's not going to last nearly as long as the WS. I've heard of the connections and piping and even muffler itself rusting through. Could very well be an isolated case though and some dumbass owner, who knows... Both are equally respected companies in Japan however, and oriented with high end tuning, so either system will be just fine I'm sure. It's all which name you're really rather have, and how much you're willing to spend or budget on a cat-back.
