rods and pistons?

Is it hard to put rods and pistons in?cause i want to get a set of eagle rods for my b18c1 and forged pistons.and around how much boost can I run with those in there or does that make a bid difference?

well im not exactly sure as to how much boost you could run with new rods and pistons but to answer your question putting in rods and pistons is fairly difficult. its best that you have a machine shop do the work cuz if you get aftermarket pistons its may be a lil bigger than the cylinder so you'll need to get it bored to fit the cylinder. and you need to a lil more top end work to run hi boost cuz not only do you need rods and pistons but you'll need valves springs retainers hi boost gaskets and reinforce the deck i hope this helps you some

to put rods and pistons in it basically requires a full engine tear-down. plus as he said you will need a machine shop to hone the cylinder walls to seat your new piston rings, or else you will get alot of blowby.

as far as boost goes, make sure you get low compression pistons or the amount of dyno&tune time will not justify the gains in power.

Use the Haynes or helms manual as a guide. If you dont have one, then go get one.
