1995 Mercury Mystique ABS Control Module

I have a low mileage 1995 Mercury Mystique with Anti Lock Breaks and Traction control. For about a year the Anti Lock Break and Traction Control dash lights would periodically stay come on and then after a few days of staying on they would go out and stay out for a month or two. In March both lights came on and now stay on.

I took the car to the Mercury dealer and they said that the ABS Control Module needed to be replaced. (The code from the ABS Test was C1095.) The cost would be $3550.00. The dealer said the part is about a $2500.00 part!! I declined the repair. I then took the car to our local independent repair shop for a second opinion. They also agreed that the ABS Control Module needed to be replaced. They felt that they would be able to get a replacement ABS Control Module from a salvage yard and do the replacement for around $800.00. Unfortunately, up to now they have not been able to find a replacement part. The did do a "nationwide search" for the part. But so far no luck. Apparently there are not too many 1995 Mercury Mystiques with Anti Lock Breaks and Traction control.

Do you have any suggestion where I could find a replacement part at a reasonable price. Or do you know of anyone who would repair this part? I would have a hard time justifying a $3500.00 repair on a 1995 car.
