I've been having problems with my stock T45. It's stuck in 1st gear but i can still move the shifter around, and it wont go into any other gear. Anyways i was looking into a Tremec T45 with a 2.97 first gear and.67 final drive ratio. I was also planning to put 373 rear ring and pinion thats my plan..sorry for rambling...anyways..
I was just wondering about any other trany problems out there?

That sounds pretty fucked up. I will email my friend and see if he knows anything. Give me a day.

Tremec T45? Is that a real transmission or do you mean a Tremec 3550 or TKO?

This is what he saidSounds like the internal shift rails are broken.
The T-45 he has and the Tremec T-45 are one and the same tranny. Tremec's parent company bought B-W, so now all the old trannies carry the Tremec name. On the T-45, the syncros have been a known soft spot. Also, it seems like water got into a good many T-45's from that time period so I always suggest swapping fluid to a good ATF synthetic.
On the bright side, the T-45 has undergone many "on-the-fly" improvements over the past 2-3 years, so any recently built T-45 will be better than what he has now. Just use a good synthetic and get a Pro 5.0 shifter and keep the power shifts to a bare minimum.
If you have anymore questions just post them.
Hope this helped.
